KRAJISNIK LETS ONE GET AWAY
Krajisnik FC outshot its opponent 7-1 but it was Northeast Conference leader Philadelphia Lonestar FC that managed to steal a 1-0 victory, converting its only shot attempt on Saturday evening at Wehrum Stadium.
It was the home team that looked like the better team early out-of-the-gate, drawing a free kick just outside the box at the 18-minute mark. The initial shot rebounded back to Krajisnik’s Jose Figueroa who rocketed a volley that dinged off of the left post.
It was back-and-forth soccer for about 15 minutes before Philadelphia’s Elijah Ema found himself one- on-one with Krajisnik’s Dida Bailey and poked it past the off-balance keeper to put Lonestar FC up 1-0.
Bailey found himself in trouble again, diving into a one-on-one situation and coming up with nothing before being bailed out by defender Morris Campbell to prevent any further damage.
Krajisnik continued to find opportunities but ultimately couldn’t convert any of their shot attempts, in part to an amazing outing by Philadelphia goalkeeper Moises Espada who finished the match with seven saves.
What’s next: Krajisnik FC travels north to take on New Hampshire Bobcats FC at 6pm, while Philadelphia plays host to Lincoln Club Futebol.
