Krajisnik Drops Nail-Biter

HERKIMER, NY 5/4/19 – Krajisnik FC scored early but it was Lincoln Club Futebol that came from behind and rallied for a 2-1 victory, Saturday evening at Wehrum Stadium in a showdown between the UPSL Northeast Conference Pro Premier teams.

After a back-and-forth opening ten minutes of the game, it was Krajisnik that drew first blood. The speedy Victor Stasyuk found the ball at his feet just inside the 18-yard line and made the defense pay, putting away the goal into the lower right-hand corner.

While the scoring stopped there, it looked as though it would be two games in a row that Krajisnik goalkeeper Dida Bailey would play the role of superhero, making an incredible kick-save in a one-on-one situation followed by an even better tip-save just minutes later.

Lincoln goalkeeper, Nate Morgado, showed off his best Dida impression just minutes into the second-half, kick-saving a shot from Krajisnik’s Kevin Gordon. Minutes later, Lincoln’s Aloisio De Brito flanked down the left side of the field and met Matt Vidal with a cross who tied the game at one, fifteen minutes into the half. Minutes later, Lincoln’s Nick Medeiros sent a cross into the box and found Vincius Belicio who sealed the game-winner.

Krajisnik’s Bailey finished the game with four saves while Morgado tallied six.

What’s next? Lincoln CF hosts Real New York FC, Saturday at home, while Krajisnik travels to Massachusetts to take on Brockton FC United, 6 pm at Marciano Stadium.
