What will we do?
Each weekly session will have a different area of performance that we will focus on such as:
● SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness)
● Lateral Speed and Explosiveness
● Quick Twitch Enhancement
● Strength
● Core Stability
● Endurance
● Flexibility & Mobility (Performance and Injury Prevention)
What are the benefits
● Injury Prevention, no matter how good a player is…. If they have an injury and can’t play in big tournaments or games, they are no benefit to the team on the field.
● Less fatigue on the field, allowing players to increase quality of touches, passes and ball handling throughout the entire duration of the game
● Strength and Core stability help players enhance their physical game by giving them an upper hand in many 50/50 challenges and allowing them to maintain composure on the ball when a physical challenge is made
● Quick Twitch muscles control how fast and aggressive our muscle contract, so when these muscles are improved we see gains in our sprinting speed, take off time, change of direction and vertical jump
● SAQ training will help players develop not only Speed but also Eye foot coordination which in turn improve ball control.
Time Slots For 10 Weeks:
(Players pick one day each week to go to the fitness classes)
Sundays:
6:30 pm to 7:30pm: 2007 to 2006 Girls/Boys
Tuesday:
6pm to 7pm: 2013 to 2010 Boys/Girls 2009 to 2008 Boys/Girls
Thursday:
6pm to 7pm: 2013 to 2008 Boys/Girls
